CHAIRMAN MESSAGE

As 2018 drew to close, the challenges in our core market, Sudan, remained, while headwinds in our other markets, particularly West Africa, were subsiding. I am delighted to see, that despite difficult working environments, the Group has continued to grow and develop, during the past year. New products and services have been introduced, adding competency and capacity to the business, while we prepare to roll out our new strategy in 2019.

At the start of 2019, we assumed that challenges will continue to face us, but we are determined to maintain our resolve and commitment to building a trusted and successful African business, which is proudly Sudanese.

During these difficult times, Haggar Foundation has been working with an increasing number of people and Communities that are facing severe poverty, while the CSI team continues to ensure our investments and touch points across our different stakeholders are sustainable and equitable.

The Group commemorates 115 years in 2019, having weathered challenges and difficult times in the past, along with good years and much success.

Let us take comfort in the lessons we have learned over the years and move forward with humility, hard work and increased resolve so that God willing, we continue to enhance the lives of our family of stakeholders but also the people and countries we invest in at large.
